First of all, my apologies as I have had some significant other professional and personal commitments over the last 15 months and have not been blogging about wine regularly, in fact, not at all for last 7 – 8 months. The last I heard, the Vino Decanto team was attempting to work through some of the engineering and operational shortfalls of their decanter / preserver, but I have not been in touch with them or heard anything from them. I have had three different preservers and have had various problems with all of them, and have come to the belief that a plunger and O-ring system for preserving wine will never be successful.
My suggestion is that a far better approach which is now on its second model is the Coravin 2, which was release a few months back.
